Most of us have the dream of leaving our jobs

Another day in the office. The same grind, day in and day out. We long for an escape of epic proportions, but here we sit with no plans to change our duldrums.

Most of us fantasize about leaving our jobs. About how good life will be if we didn't have to deal with our boss, our co-workers, our clients, etc, etc. But we always talk ourselves out of any action, as we believe at our core level we can't "make it" in the world any other way.

We limit ourselves to possibility when that happens. We are not being true to our souls.

Often, the desire to leave our job is a symptom of general unhappiness with our lives.  Most of us have aspects of our lives that we truly enjoy, but  there is something that is overshadowing our happiness. Look to what is at the core of this unhappiness. We often place blame on our choice of careers, our spouse, our ex, or whatever, rather then taking time to get a clear picture of what our dream is for our life.

Just this afternoon, I came home and took a nap, as I've been having bouts of insomnia. I told myself I would only lay down for 1 hr, which turned into 2. However, in that time I had a dream of being in a car, in the passenger seat.  I didn't know where we were headed. Something about 6-16 and then the driver's side door opens, almost hitting my boss who was riding a bike.

What does all this mean? That I feel that I'm not in charge right now. Someone else is in the driver's seat and that the door is still open to my current job. Am I thankful I'm employed? Yes by all means, but is it my "dream job", no!  What does 6-16 mean? If you look to numerology, you add the numbers, so 6 +1 +6 = 13. You then add 1+3=4. Four means self discipline, organization, productivity, wholeness and unity.

What do I take from the numbers? To me, it means my job is serving more then just a pay check right now, though I may want to make a change, the time isn't right. I need to hold off.

My dreams assist me in making decisions in my life. Even though, it may not be what I want to hear or understand at the time, I've come to trust my dreams, as I'm working on a bigger dream for my life.

What is your big dream for your life? Have you figured it out yet? Have you told anyone? Or do you have it down to the very last detail? What is holding you back from the first steps of implementation?

Happiness in life comes from trusting yourself and listening to your inner needs. Your gut, intution, your soul, whatever you want to call it.  Set some time aside to really think about your life and what elements you like and what you could leave behind. Maybe you really want to leave your job, but for what? Start to make a plan and watch your happiness quotion grow.

Live your dream.

Sincerely,

Dreamer

Welcome to Dreams R Good

I'm excited to share with everyone the concept of dreaming. In our culture nightly dreams are seldom discussed, as they're considered too presonal or strange. However, dreams are a gateway to understanding yourself better, so you can live the life you truly want.

We all dream and we all have a dream for our life. By sharing both of these you allow others to create connections, gain insight to self and the world and help one other achieve a desired outcome.

My intent to take the stigma out of dreaming as something "new age", "metaphysical", or the like. Dreams are valid and have been used for thousands of years to make important decisions, as kings, warriors and other leaders lived and died by the information contained in dreams. Dreams are good for you and they're fun to discuss.

Remember, set your intention each time you go to bed, to recall your dreams. You'll be surprised in what you remember.

Happy dreaming.
